Busan Hongbeopsa Temple

Hongbeobsa is a practice temple and living Buddhism center that guides the busy and weary modern people toward Buddha's embrace through its geographical location in the suburbs of the city and its natural conditions consisting of wooded hills. Unlike traditional mountain temples, Hongbeobsa is a farm temple that opened on a vast farm of approximately 49,587m² (about 15,000 pyeong). Located at the foot of Cheolma Mountain behind Geumjeong Mountain, Hongbeobsa opened in 2003 after partially renovating the farm.

Busan Beomeosa Temple

Beomeo Temple is a Buddhist temple located on the eastern slope of Geumjeong Mountain in Busan Metropolitan City and serves as the head temple of the 14th district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. Along with Haein Temple in Hapcheon and Tongdo Temple in Yangsan, Beomeo Temple is one of the three great temples of the southern region and a center of Korean Buddhism. Located on the eastern slope of Geumjeong Mountain, it was founded by Venerable Uisang in 678 (the 18th year of King Munmu, the 30th king of Silla) and was reconstructed during the reign of King Heungdeok.
