Jagalchi Market is a coastal street spanning Jung-gu's Nampo-dong and Chungmu-dong, adjacent to the city center, serving both market and recreational functions. The name Jagalchi is said to have originated either from a pebble beach or from the name of the 'jagalchi' fish species, which was commonly traded as live fish.
