Haepungbuwongun Yun Taekyeong's Jaesil

This house was built by Yun Taek-yeong, Lord of Haepung and father-in-law of King Sunjong, when his daughter, Queen Sunjong, was appointed as Crown Princess in 1906 and entered Changdeokgung Palace. The building materials were timber from the dismantling of Gyeongungung Palace, made of Korean pine. It was originally located at 224 Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu and was relocated and restored to its current site. The house plan has a rare primary circular (元) shape in Korea. Namsan Beacon Station

A bongsudae is an ancient communication method that conveyed urgent news using fire and smoke. By lighting fires on high mountains, signals were sent during the day through smoke and at night through firelight. The Namsan bongsudae was established after the capital was moved to Hanyang in the 3rd year of Joseon's founding king (1394) and was used for approximately 500 years until the year following the Gabo Reform. It is sometimes called 'Mokmyeongsan bongsudae' after the old name of Namsan, and is also referred to as 'Gyeongbongsudae' because it is located in Seoul.

Namsan Palgakjeong (Octagonal Pavilion)

Namsan Palak Pavilion is counted as a representative attraction of Namsan along with Namsan Tower. Located at the summit of Namsan, it offers a panoramic view of Seoul's cityscape and beautiful night scenery, attracting many citizens and tourists.
